In this video I discuss why I feel that it's wrong for governments to install spyware on smartphones.
Another reason is that by installing spyware on phones, the hackers employed by the government have the ability to use smartphones of the targets as proxies for nefarious activity which would end up being blamed on the phone's owner. This is an easy way for abuse to occur.
