You may have heard that there is a volcanic eruption going on in Iceland. On the Reykjanes Peninsula where eruption was last seen about 700 years ago. You know I love Iceland and I am interested in the powers of nature. So I am keeping my eye on the live stream of that eruption.
I have actually hiked in the same place but unfortunately, I don't have a photo from the exact place before the eruption.
This is a print screen taken out of the Livestream yesterday.
It's not a huge and explosive volcano so it does not pose any threat to human life nor does it danger the nearby infrastructure. Also, there is not a huge amount of toxic gasses.
This is a print screen taken from the live stream today. Can you see how many people there are back there, all came to see this eruption. The place was opened to the public today.
I wish I was there myself and seeing it with my own eyes. It's one of my goals to see a live volcano. This one is not expected to last very long but who knows. There is also a possibility for other fissures to open up and start spewing lava.
Aah, gotta travel back there at some point.
