We love our web but at the same time we get overwhelming information and content from it. We mainly discover our content from News, Search & Social media.
News delivers what is happening in the world, Social media lets us know what is happening with our friends and family. Search is a great tool for finding information.
But how do we find new and relevant information to us?.
You can follow people on twitter, signup for newsletters. But adding more sources to the News, Social media & Search creates diversity at the same time more noise. So we need a filter.
Okay let us imagine we fixed the problem of finding relevant information without noise. But we don’t have the time to read all of them now, we would like to save it later.
Bookmarks? I don’t know about you but if I save something in a bookmark I never read them because I forget about them.
So we need a system that re-surfaces the links that we saved for reading later.
Introducing Refind
- Refind is a community of people who discover, save and read what’s their attention.
- Refind analyses each new link with your personal relevance score and shows you the top 50 like a magazine.
- You can save links with their browser extension and when you search the web it highlights you the links your friends have saved.
- You can save links in refind after you have read them for future use.
- If you don’t have time to read, save the link and in two weeks if you haven’t read them it shows up in your feed.
- You can also listen to the story when you are commuting.
