Hyperbridge protocols will be powered by the HBX token, used to pay fees for utilizing the Hyperbridge network, and to incentivize participants of the network for network-and-project-support actions such as curation and promotion. The HBX token is built on the ERC-20 standard. Blockchain/smart contract based tokens enable the perfect crowdfunding platform, where tranches are released when agreed milestones have been reached. BlockHub will support a variety of tokens, however HBX will be the native token in which all fees are denominated. HBX will power the BlockHub economy through its use in a number of specific operations.
Using a dedicated token for Hyperbridge protocols and the BlockHub ecosystem provide many advantages:

The game publishing model as we know it is flawed, inefficient and benefits few other than the top studios. Smaller studios and Indie Developers who try to operate in the space face an uphill battle to simply get funded so that they can get their products developed. Once developed, they must deal with punitive fees, crowded marketplaces, and lack the means to engage and incentivize their audiences.
There needs to be a solution to simplify the game development and publishing process so that developers and users can see the best ideas developed into the products that gamers love to play.
