Enjoy the Independence day weekend but as you celebrate, remember that your manner of celebration was likely chosen for you, and not by you. The government that is supposed to serve you, has instead this July 4, made you its servant.
Parades, picnics, patriotic concerts, backyard barbecues with neighbors and friends, freedom festivals, and fireworks displays have all been cancelled. Beaches and parks, which should be full of people happily celebrating their freedom, have been closed by Governors acting every bit as tyrannical as the King from which our forebears fought for independence.
We assume that from year to year we will remain free. If you’re tempted to scoff at the idea that July 4, 2021 could be worse, consider that a year ago nobody would have predicted today’s circumstances, and most would have scoffed at the thought.
It is time to stop taking for granted that those who govern us aren’t ready instead to imprison us.
COVID 19 is being exploited by government to see what they can get away with. Looks like the answer is, if you can scare them enough, we have not yet found the limit yet.
Businesses were forced to close. Cancer treatments and other critical medical treatments were delayed, 50 million Americans were forced out of work, an extra 3 trillion dollars was spent mostly on political payoffs.
We were told to shut down for ten days to flatten the curve, to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. It been four months and they are still shutting down businesses. Even medical professionals are out of work.
Evolving evidence says the virus is not nearly as deadly as initially stated, so why are we once again destroying businesses? People are scared to death and hiding in their homes, despite the evolving evidence.
How many Americans have died or will die because of delayed medical testing and treatment? How many Americans have felt so isolated or unemployed and useless that they have committed suicide? How many have died alone, with family and friends not allowed to visit?
Let people who are scared shelter and isolate themselves in their homes and where masks. Let people who are not get back to work. That is freedom.
