The problem with our Biology
As we grow, our cells divide to form new cells for various functions of the body, but after certain divisions, these cells become old, weak, and lack the necessary cellular processes. Due to this, the organs, and tissues can't function well. As we age, these old cells become large in number, causing overall weakness.
Another problem is that as we grow older, our skeletal muscles and tissues get weak and wither up. This phenomenon is called sarcopenia, and it accelerates at around 40. That's one of the major causes of weakness in elderly people.

What to do to reduce it?
Exercise is the key to fitness. Elderly people should exercise once a day, to maintain fitness and reduce disabilities as much as possible. In fact, everyone must exercise at least once a day, due to the fact that these old cells and tissues weaken in us too by age. Remember how active you were when u were 7 or 8 years old. That's what is changing. Exercise and proper diet can slow down weakening as we age.
