I did something STUPID.
I was working on my laptop and placed it on the side of the table exactly where you KNOW you shouldn't put something. I'll be honest here; I thought if I leave it there for a minute, it'll be fine. This time my friends, it was not fine. It fell off the table and hit RIGHT where you plug the charger. It destroyed that port, making it impossible to charge and now even the monitor wouldn't turn on.
This is where it gets very interesting, because I got angry.
I HAVE to be on my computer. Between making podcasts and videos, it's my main thing! It's my life! I was angry and couldn't believe this happened.
Not 40 minutes later I get an email inviting me as one of the healers at the Boom Festival. (a super-cool festival that I really respect and enjoy)
It was such a synchronicity. I was JUST getting pulled back into the world of crypto and diving deeper in the online rabbit hole and I could feel it. Literally, the universe was like "I'm crushing your laptop, but here's an email redirecting you to where you can go and do what you really love to do which is making people laugh, and heal people, and be with people.
All at once it was such a clear message; "You're not supposed to be sitting front of the computer all day. You're supposed to be out there doing what you do and helping people."
I understood what the universe was telling me: don't be careless, be more present.
You know that I own a restaurant now, and somebody could get hurt if I'm being careless. It's very important for me to be present in the moment while at work. Well, the universe just reminded me to be present ALWAYS.
The morning this happened, I wasn't particularly grounded since I hadn't done my spiritual practices yet. I was distracted and thinking "Oh I have so much to do, I'll get to that later" and the universe came up and smacked me nuts! A lot of lessons for me there, including being present, getting grounded in my practices, and just BEING THERE.
We all have moments of divine clarity and purpose. We feel great when we know what we're doing. However, we all have moments where were think to ourselves: Should I do this or that? Who am I? What's the point of this? I don't care. I don't want to do anything.
We all are in a state of flux.
The important thing is that as long as we're growing and expanding our consciousness it's okay to have days where are feeling poopy.
This is a really profound lesson. I don't have a computer now, and the funny thing is I want to see what it's like this week not having a computer. I can still do videos on Facebook, and I can still make calls, and I can still make content.
Not that I do it much, but now I won't be getting sucked into crypto land, which is fun and is a great tool to have money, but it isn't my life's purpose.
There's a limit to things that you can use as tools. It's like going to the gym. It's cool to go and get healthy, but it doesn't mean you have to be there four hours a day, five days a week. It's not your life. Remember, use everything in moderation.
Be conscious in your own lives and if you really feel ungrounded, get your feet on the grass, get into a river, get into a lake, have a hot shower, have a hot bath, breathe, listen to some high level music, do some prayer, talk to the universe, do some meditation, do whatever you got to.
Don't continue running around because the universe is gonna slap you in the face! It just slapped me in the face, but I needed it and I recognize that so it's all good.
I want to say also because I wrecked my laptop, my Sunday sermon, which usually has been on YouTube, will be on Facebook.
So just hit the link below and get your ass over there! Follow me on Facebook because I do these sermons where I rant about things I find interesting and like to keep it interactive by answering your questions in the comments.
I do them usually somewhere around 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time. I have a lot of fun doing these and I hope you have fun joining me.
I love you
