Ughhh!!! There are multiple generations of sniveling cowardly bureaucrats in academia, business, and government who wouldn't recognize a meritorious accomplishment if one walked in their front door. They are quick to conform to PC-demands and hide under their desks just hoping the Jacobins don't come for them. This story of Dr. Hudlicky in Canada is a loathsome tale of the disgusting inability of people to stand up and say, "no, I will not stand for this non-sense." A good first step here would be for someone in charge at Brooks University to relieve the Provost and let him find a job apologizing somewhere else. I am hoping Dr. Hudlicky doubles down and refuses to apologize. What a disaster for scientists in Canada.
