I read an article today published by the new York times written by an Author, Alexis Grenell, a self described ‘Democratic Strategist'. It titled ‘White Women, come Get Your People' with an underline ‘they will defend their privileges to the death'.
If you haven’t read it I advice you do and make your own conclusions from what seemed like a rant with increasing violent leanings, racial slurs and obvious emotional blackmail.
I will advice you read the whole piece but I will take a few excepts from the piece itself that attacked Republican Senators for voting in favor of Kavanaugh.
These women are gender traitors, to borrow a term from the dystopian TV series “The Handmaid’s Tale.” They’ve made standing by the patriarchy a full-time job. The women who support them show up at the Capitol wearing “Women for Kavanaugh” T-shirts, but also probably tell their daughters to put on less revealing clothes when they go out.
Now this is one part I find quite disturbing, because it seems to imply that Kavanaugh has been tried and proven guilty of sexual abuse while the Senators went ahead with the vote. It gives no room for the very likely fact that he may be innocent and wrongly accused which sets a dangerous precedent on its own.
By deliberately going racial, she has obviously twisted an issue that cuts across all divides and races into one that seems to put white Republican women as supportive of abuse. This is a low, cheap and quite saddening insinuation even for a political writer.
She also continually speaks of blood and death in the piece but I leave you to read and
