I mostly use Steemit for creating content as a form of activism. Since 2007 and especially since the 2008 crisis I was sucked into the world of the Truth Genre and was laid off so much I had a lifetime of days off to figure out the truth of why the Economic Genocide of 2008 was allowed to happen. Wall Street having record profits in 2009 and 2010 was the icing on my mental cake. How the hell does Wall Streets have record profits when the the country is going through Economic Armageddon. Where did that profit come from if no one is profiting? Why didn't Wall Street have record profits during boom times like 2006 when everyone was working and doing well?
I like to write and just shoot from the hip. It feels pretty free to be able to write and not have to research and validate my opinion with a fact. I think I will try to do more simple posts of opinion and sarcasm. It would definitely get me to write more. Even with the size of my audience all 5 of you, I write more a a record than any sense of ego. Nobody I personally know even knows I write under Nate Power's and have a blog, if they did I could boost my audience of 5 readers to maybe 6 or 7....😉
St.Louis Missouri where I live is in the midst of a terrible flood, and the strange thing about floods is that if you didn't live on top of the water or river you would never know there was a flood. The only time I see the effects of the flood is when I cross the Mississippi River. The river looks like it doubled in width. It's incredibly wide. Most areas that flood are not insurable so typically the loss is minimal. If an area off the river floods once that's it. Homes will never go there again and nobody will get a loan or insurance to build on that flood plain. What is crazy here is that one December a couple years ago it literally flooded in December, and even part of an interstate was under water in the St Louis area.
The current floods along the Mississippi River have my brain buzzing with a new idea, I'm quite sure I'm not the first person to come up with this, but I have never heard of this before. Build a pipeline from the flood plain in St Louis all the way to States like California that are in dire straights from drought. There is a oil pipeline from Canada all the way to a refinery in Wood River Illinois outside of St Louis. We have oil pipeline's all over the United States. Why not build a pipeline for water so when it floods we can send it to people in need. We could send millions upon millions of gallons of water out west and save the heart break of dealing with a flood.why can't we do innovative projects that help?
I know the answer to my own question. We can't build a pipeline on flood plains and send water to drought stricken areas for the very reason I write about Government and Corporate Skull-Fuckery. We only have Trillions of dollars to waste on Corporate Socialism. If it doesn't involve high-jacking Sovereign Nations for their oil, paying for Billionaire's new stadiums, Trillions in the defense budget to "Bring Democracy" via bombs and bullet's We The People can get fucked! The best part of this are all the peasants who have Stockholm Syndrome and are in love with their abuser, and think only Billionaires should catch a break!
