"Gilets Jaunes", "Yellow Vests" Protests Turn Deadly Over Weekend...
It's hard to tell exactly how this spontaneous movement of the "Yellow Vests" started. Reports say that far left and far right factions have joined to counter Macron's agenda. Initially starting over a gas tax hike, the riots have unraveled into something far greater with some claiming they will not stop until Emmanuel Macron, the former Rothschild banker, resigns. Some polls show that 80% of the French people support the "Gilets Jaunes" protesters.
Macron has deployed 5000 military personnel to back up 70,000 law enforcement officers to quell the protests. With 100's wounded and four people dead, it appears there may be more escalation to come. Footage is now being flooded with streets on fire, grenades being launched at protesters and sniper fire.
