This looks like its going to hit just as hard as the NPC meme did back in the day. Basically what happened was it became extremely apparent that /pol/ was being raided by people who were absolutely desperate to insight some kind of violent response to the protests. The threads were constantly showing videos of white people being brutally beaten. One type of thread coined the term demoralization threads; these were threads that would pop up and talked about how demoralized they are in light of all the violence ect.
It was so antagonistic to such an extreme that it felt unbearably forced. The absolute desperation to encourage some pasty white dude to finally snap and shoot up a protest was palpable to a point of hilarity. The honest thing is that nobody really gives a fuck and white people are mostly not effected by this kind of propaganda. It fell flat.
For the most part, white people generally don't view other white people as part of their collective. The vast majority of whites simply do not view this as a us vs them mentality. If the protests never became violent riots then BLM would have nation wide support even if George Floyed did die of a drug overdose.
I personally only started to /cringe as soon as I saw a news broadcaster standing in front of a burning building on a crowded street claiming how peaceful it was... Jeezus fucking christe these same idiots a week earlier were telling us that walking outside for fresh air was killing grandma.
That's not social distancing you idiots!!
So what is the best thing to do against propaganda that is desperately hoping to antagonize some kind of violent response? Nothing at all. All /pol/ had to do is make an "I don't give a fuck" meme and it stuck. And the people desperate for some kind of race war got left out to dry.
Once again the memes from /pol/ dominate reflexively. I am fine with just hanging back and letting things play out. Will I vote for Trump? Nah. But I am totally fine with letting these protests go. I hope the riots continue for months. I am just going to disconnect and enjoy life in VR while the world burns I guess. I refuse to allow myself to get emotional over this pre-fabricated propagandist packaged and delivered bullshit.
