Vishal sikka has stepped down from MD and CEO of infosys and now he has been appointed as executive vice chair-man.
U B Pravin Rao has been given interim responsibility for both of these posts.
In a letter to stock exchange company secretary confirmed the statement of his resignation followed by saying his resignation was accepted at the board meeting on August 18.
The plan for appointment of his successor has been operationalised by board and a search for the same has been commenced and the new person will take charge on or before 31 march 2018
