Darn, I only had two hours to draw and upload my first #inktober picture. The first prompt was for a gargoyle.
A gargoyle is water feature. It is often part of the roof gutter system for a church. For the most part people don't see the gargoyles in action because they spray water in the rain.
I decided to try a gargoyle on ice with icicles dripping from its chin. My technique is to do a quick drawing with prismacolor and to ink over the prismacolor. I accidentally gave it buck teeth and messed up the wing.
The picture took 1.5 hours and a half hour to photograph, prep and upload a post.
This is the proof of art ... the picture before the inking. I am use a quill dip pen which is older than most of the users on HIVE.
