It's much easier to criticize a person's actions especially when we are not that person.Statements which suggest that a person's actions and decisions are wrong, are quite easy to make.Definitely because we are not in their shoes. The circumstances get a whole lot different when we are faced with decisions to make, actions to take, certainly it does not get easy then.
Based on the recent killings and bloodshed which took place in Nigeria,it's easy to criticize the government of inadequate security and poor governance.
120 people were killed and over 200 sustained gunshot injuries in plateau state and during the time of this chaos and anarchy,no security personnel, who have sworn to dedicate their lives to the service of the nation and protect her citizenry, arrived at the scene to save the lives of those people. We all know that based on the damages inflicted,it took a couple of hours for such genocide to be committed, yet no one came to their rescue.
And the government could have still done better if they had properly financed the fire department.Certainly those people who lost their lives in that bridge as a result of fire outbreak might not have met such a hideous death.Maybe the firefighters could have rescued most of them.
These arguments cannot be dismissed and we can still keep on criticizing the government or we can stop the whining and take actions for ourselves. The government is corrupt definitely but what would you do if you get elected into office? When you are stared down by corruption and godfathers?it becomes more difficult than the simple act of criticizing.
All I am saying in essence,is that our beloved country need so much more than critics. We need to start taking actions for the better of this nation.Such actions including working on ourselves so we do not make the mistakes the former leaders of this nation made, should we ever get elected into any office.
"I am not corrupt" is a lot more easier to be said than done. You might think you have it all figured out till you get into real life actions and scenarios.Work against corruption and injustice in the little places we find ourselves now so when we get to the bigger places, even though it might get difficult, but our principles will not be compromised.
And we all need to pray for this country. In whatever religion you find yourself, whatever god you worship,in whatever tongue or language. It is better to pray for better days than to critics the worst ones.
PRAY FOR NIGERIA
GOD BLESS NIGERIA
