North Korean TV vs the world: Inter Korean summit handshake
It is noteworthy that the North Korean Central TV stopped broadcasting whereas reporters all over the world rushed to cover the historic inter-Korean summit.
Martyn Williams, a global technology specialist at a media magazine, posted a video on YouTube comparing the North with other national and international media outlets.
In the video, we can see several South Korean channels, such as KBS, SBS, YTN, Arirang TV, as well as the Chinese CCTV, the Japanese NHK, and overseas channels such as the CNN and BBC, then, right in the middle of the screen there's the North Korean Central TV with the test card.
At a glance, it seems that major media from all over the world are reporting the very important meetings of the two leaders except for North Korea Central TV.
Martyn Williams wrote on Twitter "The Korean summit is news everywhere, except North Korea. Here's a taster of what North Korean TV viewers got to see vs the rest of the world."
It comes as no surprise that Anna Fifield, from the Washington Post would also be interested in Martin's tweet.
It is unknown why the Chosun Central TV did not broadcast live the Inter-Korean summit.
