It doesn't matter what company I use as my Internet provider the Wifi is always atrocious. I am with Sky at the moment, supposedly the best company out there, there own workers don't believe this. I've had an engineer here to try and get it to work better, my hubby said to him your Internet connecting is terrible and he said "You don't need to tell me that I know its bad. "
I've been with Sky for a couple of years, before them I was with Virgin I was a customer to them for a long long time well over 20 years. I stuck with them as I thought there was no one better, I heard so many remarks about ever company so stayed with what I knew. Then my daughter and hubby started to complain, it was every night the Internet would crash, go slow or turn off for a long time. The Internet wouldn't be too bad in the room it was based but upstairs service was terrible.
I was out shopping for a new laptop with my hubby one Christmas, at the checkouts we were offered a really good deal with Sky, they were blowing Sky up, the Internet is better, theres less crashes, they send an engineer out to fix it if its not working properly. I thought OK I may as well give another firm a chance. We signed up paying half what I was paying Virgin.
We have had the engineers out so many times who all agree the Internet is slow making the wifi really bad. I bought a wifi extender when we were with Virgin, it helped a little, not a big enough change for me but this was along time ago. I'm looking again at a Wifi Extender to help my daughter have better Wifi, she plays games with Group of friends, she's always the one to say she can't play as the Internet won't let her. Its been nearly 3 years and I'm now paying more than I was with Virgin.
I have been searching on Amazon for a good one but seems all of them have good and bad reviews. Its picking the best one as I don't want them complaining about what I've bought. They do complain a lot.
I am with Sky for another year as Stupidly accepted one of there TV channel offers that has put me on a contract that doesn't end until next year. I will definitely be moving once the time is up. Not sure who I am going to sign up with as there all as bad as each other. I do prefer to have all my TV, Internet and Home Phone with one provider not that we use a home phone anymore, our calls are all on mobile phones. There are a few providers that don't charge you for a phone line whilst others still do.
I think I may have to do some research on different sites to see who has the best reviews and who is more reliable. That's my job for tonight.
