3 YEARS AFTER I LEFT STEEMIT, I LUCKILY FOUND MYSELF ON THE HIVE PLATFORM, I BELIEVE SUCH A TRANSITION REQUIRES A RE-INTRODUCTION
Its been a long and eventful couple of years for me, such absence from this wonderful community had me feeling like prodigal son lol but here I am again, So Hey my name is Michael š
BRIEFLY ABOUT ME
I am from Nigeria, born and raised in Lagos, I am interested in a wide range of activities and topics such as tech, art, philosophy and creative writing. It was these interests that attracted me towards decentralized blogging in the first place. so I blogged about these interests of mine.
I enjoy a wide range of hobbies from writing, gaming, and outdoor activities like (cycling and swimming).
WHY WAS I ABSENT FROM STEEMIT?
Well. life as they say is a highway, "Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand, Sometimes you turn your back to the wind"
Other times you might wanna take a pit stop and then you find out that your tires need fixing, oil need changing, etc.
Long story short, I couldn't multi-task my Job, blogging and keeping up with the community, grief of losing my father, and losing my private keys also compounded the situation, I spent months combing through several text documents in my cloud drive cause I had formatted my PC and long forgotten which text format I saved those credentials, it was only by a stroke of luck that I found it.
WHAT IS STEEMIT, WHAT IS HIVE
Even weeks after I had recovered my private keys, I had no idea about THE HIVE, each time I opened the steemit platform, something just felt off, I couldn't just bring myself to engaging the platform, I had heard rumors about somethings happening but I never really digged deep into it.
It wasn't until recently that I had time to google what is really going on with steemit before I found out about HIVE, and I must confess everything just felt right. guess you can say I chose the light side of the force lol.
FINDING MY WAY BACK AND RECONNECTING TO MY COMMUNITY
ā
I must confess that this was the factor that made me hesitant the most, the feeling of being forgotten or totally lost, I had made lots of friends and loving communities on the platform but such connections haven't been visited in a long while.
I remember the freewriting sessions by @mariannewest I had so much fun on there, I also remember #steemitbloggers although i can't seem to find the discord channel anymore, I most especially remember @thealliance I totally have no idea if the mothership is still flying, tried to find the discord channel but no luck there either.
Although it wasn't all gloomy as I hit a stroke of luck and was able to connect with the city of neoxian.
THE FUTURE
The future definitely looks more hopeful with my stay on this platform, I am looking forward to sharing my interests and blogs with y'all. Most especially my interests in game development. In short I am very happy to be back on here.
Thanks for reading, I appreciate the time that you have spent.
Until next time...
