I tried this a little while ago and had no clue what I was doing and it did not turn out at all. So let me introduce myself.
My name is Orville Humphries, I was born in Seattle Washington many years ago.
I grew up on the Oregon coast in a city called Lincoln City Oregon where I graduated in 1986 from Taft High School.
In Feb 1989 I joined the United States Navy. Went and served during Desert Storm and after 4 years I got out with an honorable discharge. Under my metals is a certificate for when I crossed the equator.
I was stationed on the USS Sacramento Aoe-1. It was a supply ship, we were what you might call a floating mini mart with ammo " lots of ammo" and fuel for the entire battle group plus. The next picture is taken while we were in Desert Storm and we enterd a mine field. The thing you see is not a tree in the ocean it is a mine being detonated by the EOD team.
The next picture is my ship umrepping two battle ships at the same time during war " the only time its been done at the same time during war. My ship is in th middle
During my time in the Navy I was blessed with my daughter, her name is Samantha "an old pic of her".
After I got out of the Navy I worked constuction in Seattle "on safeco field" but mostly did demolition while working in local 242.
I also worked at Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City Oregon.
I alao worked at Sisters Of The Road Cafe in Portland Oregon where I was cafe manager and on the board of derectors.
Step a few years up and I met this amazing woman and I asked her to marry me.....
She said yes.
.
I had a brother his name was Nathan " him and I were so close".
He was sick and getting sicker and two easters ago he passed away. I went by his house and viseted with him on Easter then called him like I always did " let me tell you if I would have known I would have never hung up that phone".
This ia a veiw of his final resting place and the view of the ocean
So the little thing on the upper right is a stone bear " his knickname was laughing bear", the blue agate is one my daughter found on the beach and I polished it " they are still up there.
that brings me to where I found @pit-bullion on youtube. He is into pouring epic pieces of .999 fin silver. So to make a long story short I got into collecting silver " my brother was into it". I already enjoyed pollishing agates and flying stunt kites so anyway I was in a bad place when I found him.
I got into watching more videos on youtube and eventually @pit-bullion formed @metals-mafia. Now this is a place you can go and get great pieces of poured silver and know you are getting quality hand poured silver.
So thanks for checking out my post I hope you enjoyed it. I hope to interact with a lot of you now on @steemit and add you to my story next year when I do an update.
