Hi Steemians, I'm happy you found my post. This time I want to give you a quick introduction of myself and my way of doing photography, my beginner's equipment and why I like this hobby.
Since when do I photograph?
Since I can remember my dad had quite good cameras and shot movies of my brother and me. In my childhood I had some crappy cameras for vacation and school trips I used for memorable snapshots. When I turned 16 or 17 I lost track of this hobby. But since I live in Nuremberg my interest aroused again and I thought about buying a new cam. Of course, the mobile is always with me and I can take photos with it, but for the long run, that's not satisfying. In octobre 2014 I bought my first beginners DSLR Camera off ebay.
Why do I photograph?
I tried out several creative hobbys. But this hobby combines my faible for gadgets and technology with art and openness for people, architecture and nature. For me it's a good way to share my feelings and experiences. Even before starting to photograph i began to be more attentive to the world around me and since I do photowalks I feel like I'm not missing all that beauty around me anymore. I'm excited about this development and looking forward to my way full of new discoveries.
What do I photograph?
I deal with photography for some time now and didn't find my niche yet. It's fun to photograph animals and nature, but I also like to stroll around the city to find some interesting subjects. But photographing humans is what I like the most. Because they have an interesting, storytelling face. Or because they stand out of the crowd with their style or expression. I'm more of an introvert and quite shy when I have to approach or even disturb people I don't know, so I'm still at the beginning. In other topics I had good experiences to face your fears. That's why I started the project 100 strangers, where I want to take portraits of 100 strangers in my hometown. And I try to think about approaching them more as pleasent changes in their everyday life instead of unwelcome disturbances.
What am I photographing with?
Body: Nikon D5200 (the first 3 months were with a Nikon D3000)

How do I create my photos?
Whenever I feel the need and have the time to photograph I go out with my camera. Most of the time I have in mind what I want to photograph this time. I usually use aperture or shutter speed priority and set ISO and exposure compensation on my own. The photos are saved in RAW and I import them to lightroom to edit them later. If there's a little thing which annoys me on a otherwise good photo, I retouch it in photoshop, but that's really rare.
What do I do with my pictures?
I save them on my drive, send them to the "model" for free use, in photo calendars for my family, some in social media. Some, usually from the last vacation, are printed out and hang on my wall to give me good feelings :).

Hallo, ich freue mich, dass du in meinen Beitrag gefunden hast. Hier möchte ich mich und meine Art mit meinem Hobby Fotografie umzugehen kurz vorstellen und euch zeigen, welches Anfängerequipment ich mir zugelegt habe und wieso mich dieses Hobby gepackt hat.
Seit wann fotografiere ich?
Mein Vater hatte seit ich denken kann immer recht gute Fotoapperate und hat uns als Kinder auch gefilmt. Ich selbst hatte schon früh Billigkameras, die ich in Kindheit und Jugend für Erinnerungsschnappschüsse verwendet habe. Doch mit 16 oder 17 verlor ich das Fotografieren aus den Augen. Seit ich in Nürnberg lebe flackerte dieses Interesse immer mal wieder auf und ich überlegte mir endlich wieder eine Kamera zuzulegen. Das Handy hat man immer dabei und es macht auch Fotos, aber das befriedigt eben doch auf dauer nicht. Im Oktober 2014 kaufte ich endlich über Kleinanzeigen meine Einsteiger DSLR.
Warum fotografiere ich?
Ich habe schon einige kreative Tätigkeiten ausprobiert. Bei der Fotografie trifft mein Faible für Gadgets und Computer auf das Künstlerische und Weltoffene. Es ist für mich eine Möglichkeit Erlebnisse mit anderen zu teilen und Gefühle auszudrücken. Ich fing bereits vorher an achtsamer durch die Welt zu gehen und seit ich oft mit meiner Kamera unterwegs bin, begegne ich meiner Umwelt aufgeschlossener und lasse sie mehr auf mich wirken. Ich finde diese Entwicklung toll und freue mich noch einen weiten Weg voller neuer Entdeckungen vor mir zu haben.
Was fotografiere ich?
Ich beschäftige mich jetzt seit einiger Zeit intensiv mit der Fotografie und habe meine Sparte noch nicht gefunden. Ich probiere vieles aus. Tiere und allgemein Natur ist natürlich toll zu fotografieren. Ich ziehe aber auch gerne durch die Stadt und picke mir dort Motive raus. Am liebsten fotografiere ich allerdings Menschen. Weil sie ein interessantes Gesicht haben, weil ihr Erscheinungsbild sie aus der Masse hervorhebt oder weil ich die Stimmung und Situation einfangen möchte. Da ich eher schüchtern bin, es mir oft schwer fällt auf andere zu zugehen und ich allgemein ungern Menschen störe, stehe ich dort noch ganz am Anfang. Ich habe in anderen Themen gute Erfahrungen gemacht sich den Situationen, vor denen man Angst hat, zu stellen und sie offensiv anzugehen. Daher habe ich mir vorgenommen das auch in der Fotografie zu machen. Mein neues Projekt ist daher "100 Strangers" - mindestens 100 mir fremde Leute anzusprechen, die mir aufgefallen sind, und sie in einem Foto festzuhalten. Und ich versuche es nicht mehr als Störung zu sehen jemanden anzusprechen, sondern als das, was es meistens ist: eine willkommene Abwechslung für beide Seiten.

Wie entstehen meine Bilder?
Wann immer ich den Drang verspüre und Zeit habe, ziehe ich mit der Kamera los. Oft habe ich ein konkretes Ziel was ich fotografieren möchte oder was ich ausprobieren will. Die meisten Fotos entstehen in der Blenden- oder Zeitautomatik, wobei ISO und Belichtungskorrektur von mir eingestellt werden. Bilder werden bei mir auf der Kamera ausschließlich im RAW Format gespeichert. Ich importiere die Bilder in Lightroom und ggf. werden sie dort auch bearbeitet. Stört mich auf einem ansonsten gelungenen Bild etwas sehr, so retuschiere ich es manchmal auch in Photoshop.
Wo landen meine Bilder?
In meiner Sammlung auf der Festplatte, beim "Model", in Fotokalendern, auf flickr, teilweise auch auf social media Portalen. und einige, meistens aus dem letzten Urlaub, drucke ich aus und hänge sie an die Wand, damit sie diese guten Gefühle von damals erneut hervorrufen :).
