A very short story about me
Dear fellow Steemians. I’m Brian! No, it’s not a disease or a state of mind. It’s actually my name :-) This is my introduceyourself / introducemyself story.
I’m a DJ / photographer / videographer / artist / SoMe dude from Copenhagen - you know, that awesome capital of Denmark. And no, Denmark is not the capital of Sweden. I was born in February, 1974. So now you can do the math, to find out how old I really am.
I’m so much looking forward to this new thing - this new adventure called Steemit. I will bring this community with me where ever I go, and bring a lot of myself to Steemit, and I hope you guys care to read what I have to say.
Music
Music was my first love, and it’s still one of the things I treasure most in life. I have been DJ’ing since 1995, and have no plans of stopping. I’ve been working at several record companies, I was one of the creators behind the biggest music award show in Scandinavia (Danish DeeJay Awards), I’ve been producing music myself, been a roadie, been a radio host, have had my own record company, been a consultant for the business, party promoter, been a radio host and so much more.
Photography
When the music business changed dramatically in the late 90’ies, I had to find something else to do. Eventually I became a photographer. It took a while though, to get there, and I’m still not where I want to be. I will write more about that in a later post, which will be brutally honest.
Photography helps people see. I want people to see the world, and I also would like them to see the world through my lens. More posts about photography will come.
Travel
I love to travel. Who doesn’t? I hope that someday I’ll be able to travel for a living. Wouldn’t that be awesome? Every year, I have two (for me) important trips. One to Ibiza some time during the season (May-October), and one to Iceland in November, where I’m attending the music festival http://icelandairwaves.is
If you have never been to Iceland, but you love nature, and love to experience great new music, Iceland Airwaves is a must!
Other travel experiences counts Indonesia, and several places across Europe (including a helluva lot of places to ski). For the coming Christmas, I’ll be going to the Dominican Republic with my roomie Eduardo. He’s from there, and invited me to celebrate Christmas with him and his family.

Coffee
Coffee, yes. Gotta have it. I’m an addict for coffee, I must admit. I’m writing this post from my favourite café, Kafferiet, together with a large latte and a homemade banana bread. It’s just around the corner from where I live. It’s a really nice place, full of funny decor, lot’s of colours etc. The café is actually mentioned in some of the Copenhagen tourist brochures, because if its look, design and interior. And oh - they make GREAT coffee too :-) There are 4 Kafferiet café’s in Copenhagen. If you’re here, make sure to visit all of them as each one is unique. I know the owners, and most of the baristas. In fact, I’m working for them, with their FB and instagram accounts, as well as building their website at the moment.
