Yesterday was the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere and what a beautiful day it turned out to be. I only had a little charge on my phone, but managed to take a few snaps before the battery died. The River Tees looked amazing, full to the brim and mirror-esque. This is part of my cycle commute from my hometown of Billingham to Southbank in Middlesbrough, England, where I work as a graphic designer. I have a very keen interest in nature, but I also love industry too. Billingham was once home to a huge chemical complex and was the inspiration for Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. We have a unique mix of flora and fauna here, all of which lives alongside, and sometimes within, the chemical industry we are famous for here on Teesside.
