Hi there, my name is Michael. I am from Kiev, Ukraine which is currently an IT offshore and maybe one of the best places to have your R&D department or startup team. I like writing about lots of things, but this particular introductory post will be mainly about me :)
Learning things about myself makes my life what it is now. At the university I understood that coding is what I like, so I developed my first apps for Google Play store (some of them are still alive). Then I worked in outsourcing for a couple of years and in parallel I was working on some startups. At some point I realized that I do not want to code any longer as most of my time I was brainstorming, pitching, traveling, selling, fundraising and doing all those buzz stuff entrepreneurs usually do. So I redefined myself as someone who wants to help the world and make some changes in people behavior.
A year ago I have launched my new startup in a completely new field for me - fintech. Although it is hard as hell especially with the heavy portion of B2B sales involved, I find it incredibly interesting and self-developing. I step out my comfort zone every day. The key idea of CoinyPay is that the modern way of e-commerce payments is so 20th century. You need to feel in card details every time on each merchant website and that is frustrating. Moreover, both payment service providers and merchants loose billions because of that form. I will tell you more about how we solve this checkout abandonment issue in one of my upcoming posts.
For know, I can only tell that I launched this company with my lovely girlfriend Natalie who enjoys the romantic startup life as much as I do. We both embraced cryptocurrency boom in summer 2017 and were able to save some money for a journey or two. Now we are working from Riga, Latvia and making some good progress with CoinyPay. Back in Kiev we also have a fruit bouquet business (founded and mainly run by Natalie) which has some success as well.
I have a blog on Medium but I've decided to move here because I am into blockchain and think that decentralization is the future Steemit can be a huge part of in 2-5 years from now. Anyway, this should be a bigger topic discussed in another post.
Now when you know a bit about me let me tell what I am going to share on this social media:
- startups, fundraising, sales and other business-related hacks
- my personal experience developing CoinyPay or any other company in the future
- fintech and blockchain stuff, my personal portfolio updates
- tech stuff, like Android or chatbot development
- why Ukraine is a good place to launch your next venture
- my vision, personal view regarding the future
- relationship, travel, motivation and more
If you want to hear a story from the particular topic from above - just leave a comment and I will try to prioritize it in my posts list.
Thanks for reading! Be in touch soon.
