I am pleased to initiate a new phase in the battle to turn sheep into lions, a challenging process, especially in the third world where I live, a place abundant in deficiencies, lacking opportunities, and where the absence of freedom is palpable day by day. Unfortunately, I reside in a country doubly devastated: 1) by politicians of all ideologies, and 2) by the centralized financial system. To safeguard my identity, I opt not to disclose my name or location. Furthermore, I believe that social networks should serve to convey messages that create impactful changes in every individual, beyond wasting hours watching short videos of dancing children, heavily made-up girls, and adults pretending to be children once more, presenting themselves as such.
We are navigating through challenging times; the system imposed on us since birth is disintegrating before our eyes. Worse yet, a significant portion of us denies this reality, assuming it to be a transient situation or believing it can be rectified by selecting a particular politician as if they were a savior. As a child, I dreamt of living in the United States or Europe, precisely to escape the grim reality that still holds me here. Eventually, I grasped that what is referred to as the "developed world" or "democratic nations" is merely a facade conceived by the puppeteers behind the fiat system, masking the truth.
I had the opportunity to experience life in those countries. They certainly do a good job of appearing to be what they are not: democracies, subjecting their citizens to the same treatments I experience here in the underdeveloped world. Yes, you there and me here, we are both immersed in the same matrix. Fortunately, some of us chose to take the pill that freed us from the fiduciary slavery, the one that makes us masters of our own destiny – I'm referring to decentralized cryptocurrencies.
I chose to join the small army of cryptocurrency lions because I live in a country blocked by a world power that sanctions recklessly. Furthermore, the incompetence and immoral corruption of my country's politicians have led the local currency to an astounding collapse, plunging the population into the grip of rampant inflation and the scourge of poverty.
As a free thinker, I've gotten into many problems, but one of the harshest punishments I've faced is having my dollar accounts blocked. Uncle Sam's government considers me an "unusual threat" to their security, and they assume that because I have an account in an enemy government's bank, I must also be punished. I've spent five years unable to access my hard-earned funds, roughly $10,000 that belongs to me and my family.
Yes, starting from scratch is tough, but doing nothing is worse. I understood that I needed more practical alternatives to the conventional method, so I decided to search online and found what truly became the salvation of my life: the Bitcoin whitepaper, blockchain technology, the benefits of cryptocurrencies, and the decentralized world. This was enlightening for me but also daunting due to its novelty, and the fact that the media label this new economic form as a scam filled me with doubt. However, after understanding what it truly means to be part of a system where there is no intervention by any individual, entity, or government that can take away your money, where you are the main guardian of your funds and, for me, best of all, your right to anonymity is a guarantee, I stopped doubting and joined the cryptocurrency train with Bitcoin at the forefront.
But nothing human is foreign to me; I cannot feel well if the people around me suffer, be it here where I live or anywhere else in the world. My friends started noticing the positive change in my life, and I told them that thanks to the gift of freedom that cryptocurrencies offer (note that not all do), I can feel like I truly own my destiny. For many, stepping out of their comfort zone is a complicated task, causing fear and anxiety. I know this because it's exactly what I felt when I began my journey investing and working for bitcoins, dash, litecoin, and other cryptos. But I also say that necessity is the mother of all good ideas that drive us forward. Thinking of people like my friends, my fellow countrymen, and you, I took the initiative to open a modest account on some social networks under the name "Crypto-Libre" (libre means free in English).
Today marks a new chapter in my life, creating content in English for this ecosystem called Hive Blog as well as for Leofinance. I was already familiar with these spaces before the global pandemic, but unlike the rest of the world, that time was one of the busiest for me. I'm honest; I have enormous expectations and a strong desire to ensure that my message reaches many people so that they too can break free from the chains that prevent them from escaping the fiat system. I pledge to give my best to you, to improve my content, and to interact consistently as my Hive power grows. Likewise, I plan to support other authors, new or established, because there's nothing more beautiful than motivating and assisting others, especially when they embark on an endeavor.
I must also note that I won't limit myself to economic or cryptocurrency topics; I am more than that, and fortunately, this platform is full of communities and niches to share ideas. Before bidding farewell, I want to apologize for my English; I haven't practiced it in a long time and currently use a translator to share my thoughts with this wonderful community.
"May Satoshi favor you all."
