(39.47) Head Coach Naveed Nawaz of Under-19 team
Former Sri Lankan cricketer Naveed Nawaz has joined the Bangladesh Under-19 team as head coach. He has already joined the Youth Group camp in Khulna to play three match series against High Performance Unit.
Regarding joining, a Bangladesh Cricket Board official said, "We have appointed him as head coach till the next World Cup. Hopefully, the experience of working with the age group will play an important role in our boys 'advancement.'
Earlier, Nawaz was appointed as coach of Sri Lanka's Under-19 team. Apart from playing that role in 2009, the Sri Lanka 'A' team and their women's team have also taken charge. Nawaz has played without Sri Lanka's coach Sri Lanka in the national team. Career played a Test and three ODIs.
