First of all, I should mention that I really struggled to write this long-form post. English isn't my first language and writing has never been my strong suit. I even hated it in school. I'm stepping out my comfort zone here and it wouldn't have been possible without DeepL. It took me over a week to put these lines together, but I finally did it!
Who I am
You can call me fnzcmd. I'm study and work part-time as a technical employee, to pay my living. I mainly work software development , IT support and occasionally also in web design. Beeing a "problem solver" is probably the best way to describe me. I usually use the public transport whenever possible.
Privacy is also important to me. I don't believe that you have to share everything online. This is why you won't see me posting any selfies or uncensored photos. Instead, I rely on visuals. For example, here ChatGPT has imagined what I look like.

How I spend my time
I love playing volleyball, but you need at least ten people to play it in a hall. That's why i often just shoot hoops, either on my own or with a friend. I also ended up down the hamelab rabbit hole. Raspberry Pi was my entry drug. I now run a small server with virtual machines and self-hosted services. However my internet connection isn't the fastest so I'm somewhat limited. In the future, I'm planning a separate post about my setup and what I've learnt. I also play computer games such as Counter-Strike 2 and Overwatch 2 with my friends. This hobby is also a bit expensive. I have also recently started playing crypto shots, a Counter-Strike-like game with Hive integration. They hold tournaments every day, you should check it out!
I tried uploading this GIF. It didn't work the first time. I don't know why the colours are so wrong. But it is what it is.
Why I'm joining Hive
Hive's decentralized model and community-powered rewards are exactly the kind of ecosystem I want to grow in. I appreciate that creators keep ownership of their content and that communities form organically around shared interests. It feels like the right place to learn, contribute and build long-term.
What I plan to share
Here's the type of content to expect form me:
- Sport activity: I track my activities with @actifit - for motivation and fun
- News and opinions: Brief assessment of topics that really captivate me
- Open source and selfhosting: Recommendation and brief analyses of prohects that you can run yourself
- Project logs: Updates on projects I working on
Community shoutout:
I ended up in a great community/discord server immediately after signing up #CryptoShots I want to thank for the support! Special thanks to @caspermoeller89 for the exchange and the helpful tips for getting started here on hive and crypto shots!
Let's talk
I'm here to meet new people, trade ideas and learn from the community. Do you have questions about my setup, tools I use or anything I mentioned? Drop a comment and I will reply whenever I can.
Thats all for today, I hope we can be friends!
