BUT BEFORE I INTRODUCE MYSELF, HOW DID I GET HERE?
I have to thank my friend @darqub for showing and inviting me to Steemit. Two weeks ago on a hot Friday evening, we went out for a walk and he told me about this social media platform based on blockchain technology. He explained to me how great content really is valued by the community. I was fascinated when I saw that people interact, connect and provide valuable feedback to relevant content. I immediately knew I had to be part of this. So I am very excited to join this amazing community here!
WHO AM I?
My name is Babak. I am a 30-year young passionate athlete who works as a personal trainer, mobility coach, and fascial stretch therapist. I live in Frankfurt, Germany.
About two years ago, I decided to quit my job as a business consultant to follow my personal passion within the fitness industry. I wanted to do more meaningful work. I wanted to share my personal knowledge and experience regarding training, exercise and body self-care.
My passion grew over the last 15 years playing basketball, trying different training techniques, dealing with several severe injuries and the corresponding process of rehab. I learned what it takes to come back to peak performance after an injury and what you need to do in order to stay injury-free. As always in life, it’s your effort that makes a difference!
Now I coach and train other people, how to move on a regular basis while getting more flexible, mobile and strong at the same time.
With my passion for the human body, movement, and exercise, my purpose is to help people move and feel better in their everyday life. I want to help as many people as possible in our technology-driven world to reconnect with their bodies by increasing awareness for functional movement, their body and overall health. I want to help people to FUNCTIONFAST.
WHAT CONTENT WILL I POST?
In the future, I will post useful content that hopefully encourages many of YOU to incorporate more movement in your daily life. Even if it’s only taking the stairs over the elevator or stretching yourself while thinking about the next paragraph of your blog post… it’s about small changes in our life.
I mean, lets be honest here! We bloggers sit in front of our MacBooks or PCs many hours. However, our body is naturally designed to do a lot of other things than sitting around. So ... when was the last time that you sat down in a deep squat or rolled backwards on the ground like a baby?! Whatever your answer is, I want you to think about the following statement regarding your body and movement.
„IF YOU DON'T USE IT, YOU WILL LOOSE IT!“
Therefore more movement will create a powerful balance to the sedentary lifestyle that many of us live and will have large positive effects on our body function, performance, creativity and general quality of life.
So please ... stay active and keep moving :)
