Hello! I’m Ignissa!
I just signed up for both Hive and Splinterlands yesterday. I’ve known about Splinterlands for quite some time, but finally got to it to get started. Hive was something new to me, but there are so much good content on here that I couldn’t keep away. I’m not going to lie, I’m mainly here for all the Splinterlands tips and talk, though I found many interesting topics to read about besides that.
Sadly, literally like the same day that I joined, it seems like a change was made so you have to get into higher leagues to earn dark energy crystal rewards. I’m not discouraged, though, because I’m going to be a pro!
Haha, no seriously though. I realize that Splinterlands is going to take a lot of time to advance in now as a beginner, but the game is fun so there’s no need to hurry.
Enough about Splinterlands for now!
You can check out my first post about why I joined Splinterlands!
So, who am I? Do any of us really know who we are? I certainly haven’t figured it out completely yet!
But what I do know is that I was born in a small snow covered town here in Sweden. It’s cold as an polar bear hug (not that any polar bears live here, common misconception!) but I live my life in plaid flannel shirts so I’m doing alright.
I’m a big lover of country music. The older and the sadder, the better! I’ve been listening to country and southern American folk music for most of my life and I feel that no other form of music captures my true heart’s voice like a bit of good old country. Sad men with guitars will conquer the world!
I dabble a bit with playing instruments myself, though I’m not in any way especially good. I’m getting there slowly and steadily though. In my musical stable currently I have:
- 4 steel string acoustic guitars. One Guild, one Gretsch and 2 Fenders.
- 3 banjos. A tiny Gold Tone, a large Gold Tone, and a cheap Dean.
- 3 Harmonicas. All Hohners.
- 1 Fender Stratocaster electric guitar, but I do not like playing electric at all!
I’d love to include a fiddle and an accordion one day too!
I love strange and surreal art with a dark twist. I’d say it no surprise my two favorite artists and painters are Hieronymus Bosch and Salvador Dali. It’s usually the weird, macabre with a glimpse of fun that interests me. I feel like I barely need to mention at this point that my favorite author is Lovecraft.
I’ve been trading, collecting, and playing trading card games on an off most of my life. I loved all things Pokémon growing up, and in teenage years I got hooked on Magic The Gathering. I did have a short fling with Yu-Gi-Oh! as well, but I could unfortunately never see the charm in that one.
I’ve had a break from TCGs for some years and I haven’t really felt like gathering up even more binders of cards, but I feel myself get sucked into the Splinterlands. It scratches that itch, and luckily it’s all online.
Anyways, happy to be here!
