Hello world!
Or maybe I should narrow it down to Hello Steemit-World?
Whichever applies, I just want to say hi to everyone who reads this and I want to say “Welcome to my first ever post here!”.
I must admit that I´ve registered my Steemit account for almost 2 months now without ever starting my first post.
The reason for this is that I was debating with myself what I wanted to write about, and how I wanted to write it, and who should read it, and how they should perceive it and so on and forth…
In the beginning, my first motivation was to write a blog about how to do business and start-up a company in China. The reason why I wanted to do this is because that´s what almost all my daily activities are centred around at the moment. So, there you have it, the first info about me is that I´m an entrepreneur in China.
(Here´s a really blurry picture of me at a contract-signing ceremony)
A big motive for that idea was that everyone of my friends and family always ask me what I´m doing here, which was and is hard to describe and also a little bit tiring if you have to tell the news over and over again. So, I wanted to put it into written form for my friends, family and everyone else on the internet to read.
(This is a picture of me visiting the construction site of our coffee roastery)
This was also meant to be a help or guideline for people who also want to do business in China but in the end, I discarded that idea because I just didn´t feel like I´m in the right place at this moment to give tips and advice about what I´m doing here.
It´s like giving advice on punching while being in the midst of a heavy-weight boxing fight. (btw, I watched the movie Southpaw yesterday, which I really enjoyed and can recommend. It´s just very sad, so you´re most likely going to cry).
In the boxing fight, and in my own situation right now, I decided it´s better to finish the fight, take a rest, replay the slow-motion pictures over and over again, draw conclusions and tactics from that and THEN pass it on to other fighters.
This is how my great idea went downhill and I had to find a new topic.
Another big topic in my life is self-improvement and learning to be happy and content in my own skin and with my life in general.
(Me, being happy haha)
However, there are sooo freakin many books, blogs, podcasts, videos and guides on this topic and I just didn´t want to be one of them. Because at this moment, I feel quite saturated with all the life coaches and motivation guides and gurus always telling me what to do and giving me the next big and tremendous mindset that I need to follow to finally become happy and content.
I just feel it´s draining to constantly think about being happier, better and more successful.
I mean that´s basically like a full-time job so I really think there should be time for living next to all the improvements and happiness exercises.
Let me tell you all the other topics I could write about exclusively but have decided not to make them the main and sole topic of this blog: veganism, atheism, self-esteem, yoga, rhythmic gymnastics, owning and training a dog (a pug to be precise), cooking, meditating, traveling, learning Chinese, having a happy relationship, beauty and make-up, minimalism, importing from China, importing to China, speciality coffee, having a successful career, being half-German half-Chinese, motivation, improving ones charisma and productivity, painting, being funny and many more…
(That´s in China! Crazy, right?)
(if you haven´t noticed by now...I´m obsessed with this girl! But it´s obvious why I mean just look at her...)
I hope the paragraph above can tell you a little bit about myself.
In the end, I want to write this blog for the people who enjoy what I write and who might relate to some of the things I´ll share here.
To be honest, I´m so structured and efficient in my daily life that I just want to have this blog as my little getaway, where I can write what I think without a real structure, story-line…. or purpose really.
Of course, I´ll try to keep it entertaining and I want to encourage you to think about new thought impulses, feel good about yourself, have fun and be inspired.
But I don´t want it to be forced or annoying and I just want to share what I feel that you might connect to and that we could enjoy talking about and elaborate on when we meet one day.
So, I invite you to follow me and explore my mind together in the future posts that will come. I´ll title each post chronologically as chapters because one of my goals in life is to write a book and maybe one day I can simply print out all my steemit articles and et voilà! There you go, Isa! Here´s my book.
I can´t tell you right now how often I´ll be posting because I just want to be free and not be pressured by deadlines and be pressured to find topics or content to blast out there.
I´ll just go with the flow and post whenever and whatever I want.
Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed it somehow and I hope you have a wonderful day wherever you are!
