Hello Steemit!!!
My name is Jonny Goodwin. I've been into entrepreneurship for as long as I can remember. I made my first sale online in 6th grade. I was buying and selling trading cards on Ebay. In college, I started my first official business called Shredded Nutrition.
My passion for entrepreneurship led me to study software engineering in college. I had always hoped to use my knowledge of software to build a business. This did not happen. Instead, I dropped out of school for a full-time software engineering position at a startup.
During my few years in the workforce, there was always something that didn't feel quite right. I was never satisfied. I hoped that changing jobs would change this feeling. But in the end I was always building projects for someone else's dream.
In the past few months, cryptocurrency has exploded with growth. It has allowed me to finally leave my job and still be stable for a few months. That's right; today I said to my boss, "I quit." I'm no whale, but I hope that the extra cash that crypto has proved me can help me to get by while I pursue my own ventures.
I don't know if I will be successful. I do know this though:
I will not regret pursuing my dreams when I'm older. At least I will be able to say I tried.
So how does this have to do with you and the Steemit community?
Good question!
I want you all to follow along on my journey. I will be using Steemit as a way to give people an "inside look" on what is going on with my entreprenuerial ventures. To be honest, I don't have everything figured out yet. I know that my business is going to be related to crypto, but I'm not entirely sure what that looks like yet.
I don't have all of the answers, but I can't wait to start sharing my ventures with you. If you have any suggestions/opinions along the way, please let me know! I would love to hear from the community.
