I'm just starting out on Steemit and, as introducing yourself seems to be a tradition, thought I'd start with a post here. I've read great things about Steemit and I'm looking forward to getting to know the community a bit more.
I've got a PhD in cognitive psychology, and I've always had an interest in science and data. I'm also really into football, so I'm sure most of my posts here will involve one of these two. I used to run a blog applying data analysis techniques to football data but other parts of my life have taken priority recently! I now work in academic publishing.
I have a definite interest in cryptocurrency and how it works, but I'm very much new to it!
