Será algo difícil pero agradable, yo nací en la década del 70 del pasado siglo por lo tanto llegó tarde a mí la era digital por lo que mi hijo, nativo en ella es más ducho en estas cuestiones, pero toca alfabetizarme.

Vamos al punto de esta presentación: mi nombre es Julio Morejón Alonso y nací en una de las provincias más bellas de Cuba, Pinar del Río. En el municipio San Juan y Martínez, tierra del mejor tabaco del mundo, ( aquí tengo una pequeña controversia con mi esposa que es de San Luis, municipio que disputa ese título). Corrí por las guardarrayas de mi tierra dentro del verde del tabaco que casi tapaba mi cuerpo. Llevo el olor en mi camisa de la hoja puesta a secar en las casas de curar, ensartadas por mis abuelas y mis tías. Pero lo más emocionante es el recuerdo de mis abuelos tejiendo cestas de bejucos para recoger las divinas hojas o para guardar el pan o la merienda para los trabajadores.
Let's get to the point of this presentation: my name is Julio Morejón Alonso and I was born in one of the most beautiful provinces of Cuba, Pinar del Río. In the municipality of San Juan y Martinez, land of the best tobacco in the world, (here I have a small controversy with my wife who is from San Luis, a municipality that disputes that title). I ran through the guardrails of my land in the green of the tobacco that almost covered my body. I carry the smell in my shirt of the leaf put to dry in the curing houses, strung by my grandmothers and my aunts. But the most exciting thing is the memory of my grandparents weaving baskets of vines to collect the divine leaves or to store bread or snacks for the workers.
En ese ambiente fue creciendo el amor a los animales domésticos usados para las labores agrícolas como los bueyes y los caballos que son mi verdadera pasión.
Mis padres son Juana y José y mis hermanos María y Jose Antonio, ellos son médico y enfermero respectivamente. Llegando a la adolescencia toda la familia se mudó a Montequín un barrio situado en la periferia de la capital provincial. A toda máquina, mis progenitores lucharon para que nosotros estudiáramos, de manera tal que mis hermanos son doctora y enfermero con una carrera exitosa. Sin embargo yo me fui a estudiar a una carrera militar y al poco tiempo descubrí que la misma se alejaba de mi verdadera afición por los caballos y el trabajo en el campo. Aunque era un crak en las matemáticas, física o química de vez en cuando me leía algún libro pequeño como para no emborracharme de tanto leer.
In this environment I grew to love domestic animals used for agricultural work such as oxen and horses, which are my true passion.
My parents are Juana and Jose and my siblings Maria and Jose Antonio, they are a doctor and a nurse respectively. When I was a teenager, the whole family moved to Montequín, a neighborhood located in the outskirts of the provincial capital. My parents fought hard for us to study, so much so that my siblings are doctors and nurses with a successful career. However, I went to study for a military career and soon discovered that it was a far cry from my true love of horses and working in the fields. Although I was a whiz at mathematics, physics or chemistry, I would occasionally read a small book to keep from getting drunk from reading so much.

Cuidar caballos me llevó a mi primer trabajo, “ cochero”, como el Cochero azul. Salía en las mañanas cantando la guantanamera y a la calle a recoger pasajeros o bultos, todo cuanto dios creó. En el año 2000 nació mi primera hija Anita, una pequeñita preciosa que ya hoy es una mujer. De mi segundo matrimonio con la profesora @yanerkidiaz de la Universidad de Pinar del Rio nació mi hijo Julito . Ellos dos son los mejore tesoros de mi vida. Se asombrarán de mi pretensión de escritor; pero creo que todo el mudo tiene ganas de expresar lo que siente, lo que sabe o lo que aspira y este según me cuentan es el lugar perfecto.
He tenido muchos caballos alazanes, bayos, dorados, pinto cubanos, blanco. También tuve mulas muy bien entrenadas por mí para cargar pasaje. No me gusta maltratar a los anímales y si cuidarlos y darles alimentación, vacunas y cuanto necesiten. Me encanta el Rodeo Cubano, donde se demuestren capacidades del vaquero y el toro pero solo es emocionante cuando en el espectáculo cuida la higiene y salud de sus animales. Otra afición grande es hacer y conservar amigos para la posteridad.
Taking care of horses led me to my first job, "cochero", like the blue Cochero. I would go out in the mornings singing the guantanamera, and I would go to the street to pick up passengers or packages, everything that God created. In the year 2000 my first daughter Anita was born, a beautiful little girl who is now a woman. From my second marriage with Professor @yanerkidiaz from the University of Pinar del Rio my son Julito was born. They are the best treasures of my life. They will be astonished at my pretension of being a writer; but I believe that everyone wants to express what they feel, what they know or what they aspire to and this, according to what I am told, is the perfect place.
I have had many sorrel, bay, golden, Cuban pinto and white horses. I have also had mules very well trained by me to carry cargo. I don't like to mistreat the animals and I take care of them and feed them, vaccinate them and give them everything they need. I love the Cuban Rodeo, where the cowboy and the bull demonstrate their abilities, but it is only exciting when the show takes care of the hygiene and health of the animals. Another great hobby is to make and keep friends for posterity.
