Hi, my name is Felix Rosenstein and I’m studying at the University of Vienna in my Master. I have specialized on consumer research, information processing of the brain, learning theory, behavioral science, cognitive anthropology, sociology and applied psychology. All of these areas of knowledge are the very basis of modern marketing. I will give you a good overview and a basic understanding of these topics and try to explain how the preliminary findings in these fields should affect the budgeting, choice, design and implementation of marketing activities.
I will start with articles about learning theory, as learning affects conscious and even spontaneous unconscious buying decisions and is key to develop a relation to brands or a company. Following these concepts I will explain how our brains process information and how information should be presented to potential consumers to optimize the memorized data. Afterwards I will start to write how stimuli influence humans. Therefore I will use the SOR-Model (Stimulus -> Organism -> Response) and introduce the concept of activation. After explaining this process I will go into detail and differentiate and point out useful stimuli that have a high grade of influence on the human mind.

This amount of information may sound intimidating on the first look, but I will try to keep the articles compact and as simple as possible and answer all of your upcoming questions. If you follow my posts you will get a deeper understanding on the behavior of humans in general. You will learn how to learn more efficient and how to conceptualize marketing activities regarding this knowledge, which will improve the efficiency of your marketing campaigns. In the end you will understand that perception has some basic rules that all of us are bound to and that it is easy to manipulate decisions not only by the information presented, but also by the way it is presented. Understanding the way how information get processed and how human behavior forms will also give you a deeper insight in the behavior of the people around you. Furthermore you will learn to notice when other people, companies or governments try to influence your decisions.
Sincerely yours
@Krevan
