Hi Steem!
My name is Patrick and I have been a crypto-enthusiast since 2013!
What I like to do the most is scout for ICOs that are Gems. 2017 was an incredible year for ICOs however now the circumstances have changed. In 2018 we have seen a shift from quantity to quality. This makes finding the best ICOs even harder, but hey, I like a challenge and I am experienced in how rewarding good research can be!
When looking at ICOs, the most important thing is if the idea behind the project has a function and a purpose. This is also one of the hardest things to value as it is a bit subjective and one has to have good foresight into the future to see if an idea is useful now and/or in the future.
Moving on from this perhaps the seconds most important thing is the team and their track record. Thanks to the internet today we are lucky enough to have amazing research tools through social medias like linkedin and generally being able to google information allows us to do a thorough background check on anyone we like.
The last thing I will touch upon in this post (although there are still many factors to look at) is the token metrics/token economy of the project. The idea may be great, the team full of all stars, but it may happen that they get their token economy all wrong and send the value of their token down the drain. I love looking at token economies, when done right they can be really life changing, just like steem!
Do not hesitate to fire any questions my way!
Have a great day.
Patrick
