Well it only took 8 days, and a lot of anxiety that maybe I didn't sign up correctly and my account got lost in some blackhole crypto-space ... but alas, the confirmation email finally arrived, and here I am. Now let's just hope I never lose that simple password! 😅
As a side note, if any of these images/captions/spaces are formatted all cattywompus, I apologize. I wrote this out in HTML in MarkdownPad trying to do some image side by sides, and nothing was previewing correctly in Steemit, so I just reverted back to stacking the images. Feel free to school me in the comments!
So, who is @pragmaticpassion?

I am a dichotomy of sorts. I’m a dreamer, yet a realist. I am hard, but also soft. I’m highly mathematical, but also pretty creative (that mix helped on the SATs 👍). I appear quite feminine, yet exude masculine energy. I’m a tough one to crack, but a good one to know.
Why I'm Here:
I was originally introduced to Steemit by a web group of crypto enthusiasts. One in particular, @winstonwolfe, kept mentioning in the group how he was “powering down”, and for the longest time I just figured he meant he was turning off his computer for the night. Awe ... goodnight Winston! (I’m still not totally sure what he means when he says it, honestly lol). But ultimately it was seeing how into the site my friend @itinerantartist was becoming, and it got me dreaming about a community where I could share all these things that go on in my head. The things I think about in the shower, or on my lengthy commute home. So I started stalking around for about a month, and then finally decided to take the plunge.
Things You Will See Me Post About:
Health/Fitness

Well, not in like the crazy sense. I’m not a health and fitness nut by any means, so don't get too excited lol. Just a girl who used to drink way too much soda, had the strength of a shrimp and the energy of a sloth, and really wanted to do something about it (mostly for vanity reasons, let’s be honest). And I did. I woke up one day and just said I wanted to try something different for a change, and I learned a lot in the process and have a ton of knowledge to impart about it, mainly on the diet side. I find that the word "diet" gets misconstrued and has a really negative sound to it. Like ... a constantly hungry sound. I hate that sound. Trust me, I am not constantly hungry. And whenever I am hungry, I eat. So I don't call it a diet, but rather a lifestyle. I follow something called flexible dieting (IIFYM) and it's super simple to do, and beyond effective for any body type. Stay tuned if you’re having any problem taking the weight off and keeping it off. I got you.
Love/Heartbreak

Ah yes. Here is my conflicting nature coming out again. To quote Little Big Town:
I love being in love.
It's the best kind of drug.
But unfortunately so far in my 35 years, I have personally found that for me, love and heartbreak tend to go more hand in hand than love and marriage. I have definitely been through the ringer in the romance department. Deep down, however, I am still a complete and total hopeless romantic - (emphasis on the hopeless part, apparently 😅), and I seriously doubt that will ever change. We will just leave it at that for now. I’m certain you will hear enough about it very soon in various forms of my writing.
Career/Finances
Mostly I will geek out about topics surrounding Digital Marketing, as that’s my expertise and passion. I am the CMO of a Top 300 Internet Retailer site, and I could literally talk about it for hours on end. As far as the finance portion goes, did I mention that I was mathematical? Yes? Okay did I also mention that I am severely OCD when it comes to anything number-related? No? Well, now it's mentioned. And as debilitating as it can be at times, it also really helps with credit scores, so I can help you out there too. 👍
My Animals
I’ll just post a few pics here as to why I tend to talk about them so often:

‘Nuff said, right?
My Backyard
I recently moved from Missouri to Southern Florida. It’s always been a dream of mine, and about 8 months ago, I finally just got the Uhaul, jumped in, and did it - no looking back. It’s been one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made thus far, and I think you will see why. Hashtag: LiveWhereYouVacation.
Again, a few pics should speak for themselves (the ocean views are from my balcony):

And a couple more from my nightly bike rides and drive home:

And Last, But Certainly Not Least … Crypto!!
So imagine this: you meet a beautiful person on Tinder (I know, I know … now you think I’m just talking crazy … but it actually happens sometimes). You talk for weeks and set up the first date, and your date decides the topic of conversation will be: cryptocurrency and the blockchain. How do you react? Well I don’t know about you, but I went for it. Especially because at the time, all I knew about Bitcoin was what I saw in memes on the internet. So, I got a gorgeous date, a delicious drink, and a Cryptocurrency 101 lesson all in one night. I was well convinced, invested the next day, and proceeded to endure one of the craziest financial months of my life (the date happened in November 2017, so that should explain my investment timeline lol).
Needless to say, I’m in the hole on some Alts as of the past 6 weeks or so, but got a good position in LTC from the beginning, so all in all it's been going pretty well. I’m a true HODL’r, so you won’t be hearing anything too crazy from me about it all, but of course it’s what ultimately led me here. And I’m glad that it did. Who knew a lonely Tuesday night of Tinder swiping could culminate into the creation of this post, and meeting all of you? Life is fun sometimes. I’m excited to share it with you all. 😊
