Hey there, what a strange new interface we have here...well I suppose not strange or new really at all, I'm very familiar with blogging, social media, online community and I suppose newly getting familiar with cryptocurrency and the news, business and culture around that...but this is a very interesting mix of all that. So I feel nervous and excited to dip a toe in a see how the water is.
I am a writer and web developer based in the Pacific Northwest, which has been my home for most of my life. I work in transportation technology on the more engineering side of my work life and mostly culture and queer arts & lifestyle writing on the more journalistic side of my worklife (for publications such as Autostraddle, Nylon, Daily Dot etc) although there's always some interesting overlap. And maybe that's part of why I am finding myself drawn to this platform.
In my none work life I love to travel, cycle and hike and recently combined all 3 on a 3 month trip in Europe where I bike for a month around France, Belgium and the Netherlands before setting down the bike and picking up poles to hike the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Before I left I started a blog called Out & About that has initialled been focusing on adventures but which I would like to expand into a larger project about travel and perhaps more.
I also love film and television, dancing and and good beer, wine, or finely crafted cocktail. I also like long walks on the beach...just kidding. Well, actually I'm not kidding, I really do love the beach, but this is not that kind of "introduceyourself"
