Hi, I'm Richard and I'm new here to the Steemit community. I grew up in Southern California but am currently living in Boise, Idaho. I attend Boise State University and am pursuing a bachelor's in mechanical engineering. I have a wide variety of interests including aerospace, additive manufacturing, cryptocurrency, hiking and traveling just to name a few.
This picture was taken at NASA last December where myself and a group of BSU students visited to present a project. We were tasked to build a data recorder that would work on a WB-57 which is a high altitude aircraft NASA uses for atmospheric data collection and experiments. It was an excellent experience and a great hands on student project.
This picture was taken in one of my favorite places, Joshua Tree. I really just like this image and that there was no post processing needed. Joshua Tree has amazing views all around, rocks to climb, crisp fresh air and at night there is a clear view of the stars. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quiet.
This photo is at Lucky Peak just outside of Boise.
As I mentioned, Boise is my current home and I enjoy it for how different it is than California. I don't see it as a permanent move though. It's just a little too small of a city compared to what I'm used to. It does have plenty of amazing things to offer though. Plenty of nature pretty much in any direction you head. People are generally friendly (Although they like to blame Californians for their problems...Sometimes its justified I'm sure). The pace is a lot more relaxed and living is affordable. The city is clean and there are plenty of parks as well as the greenbelt which runs along the Boise River.
Well that was a brief introduction, if you would like to know more leave a comment! I'll most likely post on topics like 3D printing, cryptocurrency, aviation and other STEM type topics. Thanks for reading and I look forward to contributing to the steemit community!
