Hi all, Robert here.
I read about steemit from Fred Wilson's blog and decided to check it out. Fred is a visionary and very successful venture capitalist so if he's excited about a new idea then you better pay attention!
I'd like to introduce myself and participate in discussions over the next several months. Although I do not fully understand the mechanism in which steem is converted to steem power or steem dollars, I see the vast potential in a social media platform where users share in the value creation.
I am 29 years old living in Sarasota, Florida. Have always been passionate about technology and finance. I took several computer science classes in high school then earned a finance degree from USF (and played far too much poker). My first gig after graduating was in corporate finance at a fairly successful software startup. Cut my teeth for 5 years before launching a small real estate crowdfunding platform. The premise for the company was to provide everyday investors (mom and pop) with quality real estate investments - the kind typically reserved for wealthy individuals. The first two years were challenging to say the least, but am pleased to report we've made solid progress in the last 6 months. Happy to share my experiences and knowledge of crowdfunding, peer-to-peer and automated wealth management. If it involves fintech, I probably have an opinion to share!
Also enjoy boating, fishing, tinkering w/ rasberry pi, playing tennis and spoiling my dog, Siri.
Best Regards,
Robert Reardon
