[Adventure] - Flying High Amongst the Trees

Recently I travelled to Nowra on the South Coast of Australia to experience a Tree Adventure at the Shoalhaven zoo.

We do this every year as part of our 'adventure' schedule with my gym buddies as it is a great way for people to explore their potential and to break some barriers when it comes to heights, confidence and fear.

Everyone loves an adventure.... true?

The tree adventure has four skill levels.

Blue, Green, Red and Black with various degrees of difficulty and excitement.

The goal is to work your way around the course and endure nerve racking challenges and flying foxes.

Before you start you have to get all set up with safety gear and do a beginners session to learn how to use the equipment.

It is all very easy and not as daunting as it looks.

You are connected to a safety wire the entire time throughout the course which means it is safe and caters for all levels.

What made the day fun was we were with a big group which added a great atmosphere and vibe.

We also headed to the beach afterwards for a beach workout and some swimming.

Here I am trying to look cool at the bottom of a 30 metre free fall which is always a little scary at first as you are not sure how fast you will travel.

Even though I am 100kgs the decent was quite gradual and slow and I made it!

I do highly recommend giving these types of activities a go as it does challenge you mentally and physically and if we are not putting ourselves into these environments often we tend to get complacent in life.

I feel we always need to push the boundary.

Take fear and uncertainty head on.
