Do you adapt and overcome?
Sometimes, no matter how well you plan it, things go not quite right, throwing a spanner in the works and potentially changing the out come to one that is not desired.
It's in these times we have an opportunity to grow in strength and learn more about ourselves and our path. Some of these circumstances are beyond your control and you more or less you have to just grin and bare it. But do you just succumb or do you adapt and overcome? From my experience the first step is to accept what ever the circumstance that you are in is and to then look forward to your original desired outcome, searching for the solutions required to attain that outcome.
When you the play the violin, put on the woah is me face and tell yourself (and any one within ear shot) that "there's no point trying" you are setting yourself up to not take the necessary steps that will bring you to your goals. It takes a lot of focus and effort to bring your dreams into your life...it takes just as much focus and effort to bring the things that you don't want. You are the only one who can stop you from pursuing your goals and dreams because it's only over when you say it's over. Either way it requires your participation. That tells me that we are the creators of or own destiny. So I encourage you to look for solutions, grow strong and step to the future.
As we head on our way we have already encountered several hurdles and I am sure that we will experience more. Each one will be either an opportunity to grow and develop or to cower and retreat and it's up to us which one it will be. Knowing that you have the power to change the outcome is not only an awe inspiring feeling it is also a humbling one. To know that your decision can bring about life changing circumstances, be they for the better or otherwise is to know that you can choose your path.
