Please allow me to re-introduce myself because after joining a while back I went radio silent for about a year, as I was busy building a new venture which I am preparing to launch soon. My name is John Kim and I am the Founder, Managing Director, and Chief Education Officer of skwealthacademy, my new venture that kept me away for the past year that is the culmination of a ten-year long passion project consisting of a complete online academy of 20 courses that specifically address essential pillars of education largely absent in academic institutions and emphasize a radical reconstruction of societal constructs like wealth and success that have unfortunately devolved into largely narcissitic, selfish pursuits today. My missions for my new venture are to: (1) reinstate critical thinking development as an important mindset in education; (2) return a high level of ethics in the pursuit of business profits; (3) spread a clear understanding of the differences between unsound fiat currencies and sound money among society, and explain how the misunderstanding of these concepts contributes to the persistence of great suffering in the form of global poverty and hunger; and (4) elevate life purpose as a viable goal to replace materialistic pursuits that create elevated levels of loneliness, anxiety and opioid dependence. My new venture will be launched at maalamalama.com, which is a Hawaiian word that means brilliance and clarity of perception, as I hope to help everyone shine with my new venture.
What else? I was born in America (Philly, LA, SF) and now live in Asia. I am also an avid marital artist that has trained for the better portion of my life and attribute martial arts training and my various senseis and sifus throughout life for bestowing valuable life lessons upon me, including the value of discipline and persistence, the benefit of struggle, and the importance of honor and ethics in one’s life. I have lived in four countries, speak two languages well, another one not so well and am learning one more at the current time. I believe that life is a journey to find purpose and meaning, to connect with others and to help all those we can during our journey and to ultimately leave the world a better place than we found it.
