Hello Hivers...
I'm Slime and I am a newbie here, you probably already know that judging from the look of things, this is my first post. I don't even know where to start because this content writing thing is still new to me but I can be very adaptive and open minded when it comes to learning. I plan to ease into the system by picking up hints and motivation from every post I read and of course, do my own further research on how to curate interesting contents whenever I post.
ABOUT ME.
I'm a 23 year old computer science student, currently in my final year in college. I'm a Nigerian by nationality and I live in Lagos city, Nigeria. Actually, I was born there and I wouldn't have it any other way even if the common mentality here is that its unlucky/unfortunate to be born here because the country is bad or whatever, there's still a large number of successful and great people from here which I will be a part of. There goes one fact about me, never counting myself out or measure how successful I can be based on where I'm from.
Aside being in college, I engage in other activities that help me develop different types of skill set that can add value to my resume and presently, I could say I've got a hands full. Last year December, I started taking DeFi classes under a great tutor and its been really enlightening. I've learnt a bit about the decentralized finance world, the blockchains, Web3.0, lets say the crypto world generally and I intend to put that knowledge to a good use. For a fact, that's the inception of how I got to know about Hive but I'm still coming back to that.
Programming is also one of the activities I engage in as per a boost to my cv, it fascinates me and I might be lowkey developing a passion for it. Although I haven't had much practice, just a little bit of html, css and Javascript. I got accepted into ALX software engineering program last week, commencement is on may 22nd and I cant wait to go in depth into coding.
One more thing, I enjoy exploring the internet in search of new technological innovations and I play games a lot too. Web3 games, online games and video games. That's me!
How I landed on Hive....
Having said that I enjoy exploring the internet, don't forget that includes web3 and social medial. The only media I'm fond of is Twitter because if you want to stay updated in this age of technology you need where information is shared nonstop. Crypto Twitter is my favorite space, I tend to get latest information about the crypto world, decentralized finance and the Web3 as a whole. Information about new crypto projects launching are always on twitter so I usually take advantage of that a lot in my Defi analysis, Web3 jobs hunting, Web3 gaming and so on. One of the projects I stumble upon looking for a job on discord was where I met a dev who posted a link to peakD.com. This was a link to a blog about his upcoming project on Hive blockchain, I'll save the details for later. I showed interest towards the project and proposed to him about being on his team right there in the community where we met, even the community dev put in good words for me. I think that was what convinced him (the dev who posted the job) about me and he asked to talk in private. In short, he gave me more insight about his plan and even added me to his personal hangout community where there are more of Innovative individuals like him and we've been in good contact since then. He even encouraged me to get accustomed to using Hive thereby, making this first post was his idea.
I appreciate him giving me the push I needed also, I intend to learn , improve and gain experience while I'm here.
Thank you.
