I like to think of myself as a blogger, a martial artist, practical philosopher, and a black belt critical thinker.
My writing is basically self-development and productivity meets ancient philosophy. I've also been training martial arts since I was six, and MMA and BJJ since 2002. I mention that because that training colors everything I write. I love reading and thinking about philosophy, but it's the martial arts that keeps me grounded. Philosophy has great ideas, but a lot of it can be abstract; I think of martial arts as objective reality, and philosophy sometimes needs a dose of that. This is why when I explain what I write about, my elevator pitch is Tim Ferriss meets Bruce Lee. There are some people out there blending these two worlds, but most of the ones I've seen are not academically sound, but worst of all, they're full of cliches and bad ideas.
My ultimate intent is to help people with my writing. I don't want to say everyone, because that's not true. I think I serve a specific niche, I'd just like to get to as many people within my niche as possible.
This is Korean for "Must Triumph" and that is the major theme of my blog. I already have a small but loyal following, but steemit seems like a much better platform for feedback—and whether people actually like it and find it useful. I'm currently working on a book, and what better way to see if it's going to be any good than to beta test it here.
If any of this sounds interesting, follow me, and keep an eye out for my future posts.
Talk to you guys soon.
Sam
