T Mark Hightower, former NASA engineer (retired 2015 with 25 years of service). Christian Universalist, believing that all will ultimately be saved through Jesus Christ. (1 Cor 15:22) Student of conspiracy theories having made some contributions to 9/11 truth and concerned about recent emergence of the conspiracy theory of the flat earth movement, within which many Biblical literalists claim the earth is actually flat and that this truth has been hidden by Satan and science in the greatest of all conspiracies to keep people from the truth of God. Also concerned about the extreme negativity toward NASA and its employees that many in this movement profusely express on their online videos. I want to get my thoughts out to a wider audience to combat the misinformation, pseudo science, and misguided religion being peddled by this flat earth movement to the vulnerable public all over the globe. A little over one month ago I started a blog to do this at tmarkhightower.blogspot.com and have made a total of 7 posts there so far. I want to try steemit to see if it helps me get my information out to a wider or different audience. It was the Barry Soetoro Youtube channel that I enjoyed where I first learned about steemit, just to give him credit for steering me here. I am not sure I understand what this steemit platform is all about. I am more interested in getting information out to those who are interested than in earning money doing it. So this will be an experiment for me. Any feedback is appreciated. After this post I am going to proceed to make separate posting for all 7 posts that I have previously made on my blog, and after that I plan to post a new short satirical piece for the first time on steemit. Of the 7 posts to follow, the first one explains why I entered the flat earth theory controversy, the second is my Christian testimony, then three through six are answering and refuting various flat earth arguments, and seven is a lengthy document where I explain what I call the Fine Print of the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ. The satirical piece to follow will have the title “Major discovery made today in Flat Earth Theory by former NASA engineer.”
