I'm a stay-at-home mother, photographer, author, homeschool teacher, you know - a jill-of-all-trades type of person!
Native Oregonian, but Anglo-American due to many years in Britain. My heritage is Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, German, English, and Scottish with a few smidges of other things along the way. I read some French, Norwegian, Swedish and Spanish (roughly in that order) and can transliterate some Russian (meaning I can pronounce some of it.) Ex-mensan and ham radio operator (KB7BFS - my original call from 1986) but scatter-brained as heck...squirrel!!!
Recently married, I have six children whom I'm immensely proud of. My sons are grown or nearly grown (who live in England still), my daughters are still in development. :-) I'm Mormon, but still retain some of my previously Catholic, Jedi and Pagan ways - I've been in other paths too - always seeking the greater truth. No one path owns all the truth - though the LDS are closer than most.
VikingVentures is meant to be a catch-all brand name to encompass all I do elsewhere. I offer readings in Lenormand and Mahjong which are offered prayerfully to ensure the right entities are involved. I also write A'mara Books (well, when I have time, anyway!) I spend more time on my VikingVisual (photography and digital art) brand than anything else with presences on Facebook, Pinterest, Redbubble, Cafepress and Zazzle.) I also have a few major writing projects simmering at the back of my mind that I should get working on. But real life demands that I find something to pay the bills, so I babysit other children and am working towards getting some land to do some farming on. Too many irons in the fire means I never have enough time to do everything to the degree I'd like to - thus, is the curse of a brilliant mind.
Despite that - which is not meant to be a brag, just a matter-of-fact part of me - I am also an empath, which prevents me from self-promoting as much as I probably should (and might even deserve.) I consider the feelings and well-being of others to be very important, especially if you're part of my nearest and dearest. I hate rocking the boat and muddling the waters, so I dislike debate strongly. Just because I post an opinion does not mean I want to debate it! Yes, I do have strong, well-researched opinions and yes, I will also consider your strong, well-researched and politely presented opinions, but I do not listen to shouting/screaming/arguing.
Anyway, I suspect this is already too long, but this is just a snapshot into my life.
