My name is Wayne, I am a Texas A&M grad with a comp sci degree and a love for all things with 2 wheels. I started on scooters getting to and from campus in the fastest and cheapest way possible, and from that grew a passion for a new, lifelong hobby. My first ride to campus was a Honda Ruckus, that I modified back in 2012. I spent every spare bit of change I could gather and definitely ate some ramen along the way.

A buddy of mine was opening a local scooter shop (there was none in town) and I hopped on the opportunity to learn as much as I could. I now have lots of seat time on a variety of Honda, Yamaha, Genuine and of course, Chinese bikes from my time at the shop.
After learning the ins and outs of an engine, I started to take an interest in older bikes. I love the classic lines and simplicity of the various systems; single cylinders, drum brakes, and electronics with only 4 components. I stumbled across a couple of barn finds through a friend in Independence, TX and this CT70 soon became my new daily to get to campus. Honda has used this 50/70cc platform since at least the late 60s and the aftermarket and variations of the same engine platform intrigued me. It is my dream to have a museum of various engine types in my garage; twins, triples, boxers, vtwin (even the sideways CX500), and of course 2 strokes!

After graduation, I rode the minitrail to my new job in town for a good while, but eventually I craved more power and the ability to go further. I purchased my first Yamaha, a new FZ07. This bike gave me the freedom to go fast, do hooligan things, and explore Texas. I named it just that, Freedom. Over the past 2 years I have put 22k+ miles on Freedom and my only real complaint is the soft front end from the factory.

I have owned a handful of other bikes along the way, all with their unique quirks. I am excited to share my passion with the rest of steemit and hope you guys enjoy what I have to offer. Feel free to follow my instagram with the same username (@wotpl0x) where I often post pictures and videos of my adventures and new toys. Now for some more motorcycles!
