My name is Samuel Engelking but everyone calls me Sammy. I'm half Jamaican half German living in Toronto Canada, it is a very multicultural city and I love that you can experience such a diverse range of cultures all in one city. You can be from anywhere in the world and feel at home here. It's rather unique, especially for Canada. That being said I still love to travel and am fortunate as a professional photographer I tend to travel a lot for work.
I've been doing photography for several years now. I love creating beautiful images and meeting new people, its a privilege to have people welcome me into their world for the duration of a shoot. I've always yearned to be able to connect with people and the camera has become a tool to help me do so. Everyone has a story and everyone is interesting and beautiful in their own way.
I'm very passionate about health and fitness, watching my dad slowly pass away from cancer in my mid 20's was devastating and affected me greatly. My mom also had a battle shortly after but survived. Now I study health and nutrition part time and hope to share health related information and recipes on here for anyone who is into it. I'm also big into fitness and self development. Working out is how I deal with stress, sadness or anything negative. It boosts my mood and I just love it :)
hmm what else...I'm also into trying to make dreams come true lol, music, art, beauty, spirituality and making this world a better place through small acts of kindness and self improvement. I joined steemit because it seems like a great place for content creators and a truly unique community still very much in its infancy.I'm super excited to be part of this and so curious to see how it will grow and evolve.
