Hi Hivers and friends, I am ESTHER MBA but my friends prefer to call me MBA and I'm just so, so excited to be here. I was born on December 26th many years ago and raised in Lagos, Nigeria.
I am a writer, a reader, and a lover. I run my mouth so much it's great to write things down in one place. I like to write about things that are important to me:
-politics (from the perspective of a broke college millennial)
-pop culture (favourite movies, tv shows, songs)
-mental health (depression is real)
- relationship and sex (heartbreak/breakfast stories). I promise you would want to hear about my breakfast story
-and life (the ups and downs)
And even if you don't care about any of those things, don't worry—I'll make sure it's entertaining for you anyway.
I finished at the prestigious “University of Lagos” sometime in 2017. Refused to go for NYSC until 2019 because I was posted to the Northern part of Nigeria, coupled with the fact that I hate travelling.
I am also a single mom and a new mom, which means that I spend most of my days in yoga pants, with crusty cereal stuck to my shirt. And for the first time in my life, I feel like I can't control everything around me (or even about me), and that's a big change for someone who likes things done just so.
So naturally, since I can't control everything around me, and since I don't think anyone should have to live a life that isn't as close to perfect as possible, I decided to join the hive.
Oh! Did I mention that I've always loved making things? Like I fondly like to introduce myself, I am an amazing shoe architect. This means I bring creativity into life using leather.
I make the best of food too. You can call me a foodie.
You know all those people you meet who are like "I've always wanted to blog!" and you're like "Get out of my face with your dreamy eyes and your perfect little coffee cup?" Yeah, well… that's not me. I've never wanted to blog. But I do have a lot of thoughts and feelings, and it turns out that blogging is a pretty great way to share them with people who want to hear them.
The Hive community happens to be a great place for me to express my thoughts and feelings to like minds. Being a part of this community will allow me to learn from people who are just starting as well as those who have years of experience.
I also want to thank @talkdanny for inviting me here. I wouldn’t have known about the existence of this great community without him. Thank you for guiding me through the account opening and the needful.
@starstrings01 thank you for the summary on how to go about the introductory post.🙏🙏
To all my new friends reading this, thank you for taking out your time to read.
