Hey, it’s thursday, could be any thursday really, at any time in history — think about that for a minute. You could be anywhere at anytime, heck I even thought about just staying in bed for most of the day today.
I’m literally on free play like a junk box waiting for a customer.
I’ve been trying quite hard to shape and mould energy together to focus up and make courses to keep things going, to make the most out of my time but every time I do it seems super insincere not only to time but to the notion of trying to fathom what other people are going through.

Numbers going up, emergency funding triage fiscal packages getting pushed through, some with tax on them, some not reaching the right people, some that will be a paper cheque three weeks after someone has already starved potentially to death.
When did we ever get so lost?
Was it the silver AOL cd’s offering us a 1000 hours of free time to be connected by a whistling black box to another rack of similar boxes?
Was it when we sold our privacy for the illusion of choice?
Maybe it was when we were promised more but ultimately drained to less, maybe it was when we were too greedy when we should have bought two and give away one to someone in need.
We all contributed in some way to this moment.
The human condition, the ultimate planet wide virus to attack the general well being of a planet, a planet formed through millions of iterations bought to it’s knees by our own vanity and pursuit of what’s next.
If the last few years of downsizing have taught me anything is that you can always shift where your puck is going, not far from the ultimate destination we all know about but at least a little from side to side.
Enjoying the trinkets and distractions along the way, finding solace in the guilty pleasures of chocolate and beer, chips and kebabs.
I think it’s actually taken me two weeks to get adjusted to this new normal and we have a very long way to go yet — we are literally half way up the mountain, little way to go before the peak is in view.
Adjust your horizons now, celebrate the tiny wins, spend the time doing things that are constructive and clean and tidy out the crap around you, go minimal, downsize, eat less, ration those portions, enjoy the sunshine.
