I Love the IDF
Yesterday on X my friend Tommy Robinson shared the following post. For the record I've barely had any direct contact with him since his last release from prison and I sure as heck don't tell him what to think or say about Israel or the IDF. Nobody actually tells him what to think or say: he is very much his own man. For sure I travelled around Israel with him and he learned a huge amount from meeting real Israelis and Arabs here.

This obviously stems from the controversy in the UK of the BBC broadcasting a music act from the Glastonbury festival over the weekend where the singer lead the crowd in a chant of "Death, Death to the IDF". The IDF is the force which one of my kids will be in soon and which defends my family and I from certain slaughter.
Here in Israel we just spent two weeks running to bomb shelters. Exactly where I'm typing this we heard missiles land including one which murdered 4 people in my brother in law's building (he and his family are out of their home for a year probably). In all 29 were murdered by Iranian missiles, it was the IDF which stopped 86% of those missiles and 99.9% of the 1,000 deadly drones sent. Death to the IDF means death to Jews and there isn't a debate in my mind.
That prompted me to make a long post directed at the establishment Jews of the UK, as personified by the leading representatives of official Jews: The Board of Deputies of British Jews.
I've got a message for the rich, assimilated Jews of the Board of Deputies in the UK.
15 years ago via intermediaries at the highest levels I told you the EDL and in particular, the extraordinary man leading them, who uses the name @tommyrobinson in his activism, were not a threat to Jews.
More than that, I told you, from personal experience of interacting with EDL people back then and eventually Tommy directly, they were good people, concerned about a matter of nation destroying importance (the Muslim grooming rape gangs) and you should NOT say ANYTHING about Tommy or the EDL.
And I said then if you weren't stupid (which you were) this would be a most valuable counter to the coming tsunami of vicious Jew hatred. And I also told you this would come not from the "far-right" bit it would emerge from your friends on the left and the Islamic communities.
You decided over and over and over to do the opposite. You worked with godless, Marxists like Hope not Hate and Searchlight to do all you could to stick the boot into Tommy and by extension to the very many good people drawn to his causes. You bowed and scrapped for Knighthoods and attention from the British establishment.
You were wrong. You libeled him terribly, over and over.
I've barely exchanged a few WhatsApp messages with him since he was freed from his last prison sentence. Contrary to what anyone might think I don't tell him what to say about Israel, I wouldn't dream of it. And yet he is one of the most prominent voices in the UK who unequivocally knows right from wrong in the battle of Israel vs the terrorists of Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Authorities and out to the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
He is better in his support of Israel and the IDF than YOU ARE. The supposed doyens of the British Jewish Establishment.
Your organization has a long and ignoble history of being disastrously wrong about Israel. You are mentioned specifically in Trial and Error by Chaim Weizman as working to prevent the re-establishment of the Jewish national home in Israel.
You were wrong then, and you're wrong now and if you had an ounce of Jewish responsibility you'd apologize to Tommy Robinson and to the great many British patriots who regard him as a defender of British culture.
